With the recent celebration of our 40th anniversary, it was a momentous occasion for reflection, not just on our achievements, but also on the path ahead. It’s with this reflection that we are thrilled to announce our evolution from Curamericas to Impact Global Health Alliance.

This change is rooted in our desire to better align our name with our values and mission as an organization. We believe that Impact Global Health Alliance encapsulates our commitment to fostering sustainable change and making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve, beyond our initial focus on the Americas. Our new name now reflects this inclusive spirit and helps put our global partners and the communities we serve at the center of our story. 

At Impact Global Health Alliance, our focus has always been not only on curing but also on prevention and empowerment through education. We firmly believe that by empowering communities with knowledge and resources, we can prevent needless suffering and save countless lives. One such example is our work in Kenya – Health Outcomes Improvement:

Meet Margret, the Health Records Officer at the Nyagoto Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Clinic. Margret deeply values the transformative impact the KIKOP project has had on the communities served by the Nyagoto Facility.

“I’ve seen significant improvement in attendance to prenatal care.There has been an improvement in maternal and child health outcomes in the mothers coming to visit Nyagoto facility since KIKOP started its community-based education programme.”

Margret’s narrative serves as a compelling testament to the sustained, tangible changes we are fostering in our partner communities. We hope to continue impacting lives and improving the health of the communities we serve through accessible and effective health education and interventions.

While our name may be changing, our mission remains steadfast: Partner with underserved communities to make measurable and sustainable improvements in their health and wellbeing. With your continued support, we are confident that we can achieve this ambitious goal and create a world where every child is given the opportunity to thrive and every mother can experience the joy of raising her child in good health.

As we embark on this new chapter as Impact Global Health Alliance, we look forward to continuing this journey alongside you, our valued partner. Together, we will continue to save lives, uplift communities, and create a brighter future for generations to come.
